Residential Facility: Beyoo Living Marina, Barcelona

CASA-Barcelona students stay in single rooms at the Beyoo Living Marina, which houses a mixture of Spanish and international students. Newly renovated, the residence has furnished rooms, shared kitchens, private bathrooms, free internet, TV, and air conditioning/heating. Beyoo also has common areas where students can meet with friends and classmates. The residence is beside the "Marina" metro station and the tramway line, 10 minutes from UPF and downtown Barcelona.

Facilities

Rooms: All rooms have a complete en-suite bathroom, TV, Wi-Fi internet connection, air conditioning, heating and a window. They also have a 190 x 90cm bed, wardrobe, table and desk lamp, chairs, bookshelf and cork board to hang photographs. The mattress and its cover, sheets, blanket, quilt, pillow, and towels are provided by the residence hall.

Kitchen and restaurant: A kitchen is shared among ten students. It is equipped with a refrigerator, freezer, ceramic hob, oven and extractor fan. Each student will receive a pack of kitchen utensils upon arrival. Beyoo's bar-restaurant Forastera offers a wide range of snacks and meals. Optional meal plans are available as well as a regular bar-restaurant service. The restaurant is open to residents and non-residents alike.

Common facilities: Common areas are available to all residents free of charge. They consist of three multipurpose rooms, a games room, a gym, a study room and three solarium areas with rooftop pools.

Residential Services: The services included in the monthly rental fee are:

• Bed linen and towels

Other services offered to residents, for an additional fee, are:

• Bar-restaurant service with optional meal plans
• Prepaid service for outgoing calls
• Laundry with automatic washers/dryers
• Coffee machines, soft drinks and snack machines

Laundry: Keep in mind that electricity and other basic supplies, such as water or gas, are much more expensive in Europe than in the United States.

Contract with the residence hall: All students must sign a contract before moving into the dorm.

Academic Year Students (Full-year Students)

Full-year students will have the option to find their own accommodation for the spring semester. They must inform CASA-Barcelona staff before November 15 about their choice for the second semester.
