First Night in Barcelona
On the first night in Barcelona, all students stay in a 4-star hotel with a double room (dinner and breakfast included). It is located five minutes from the city center and very close to the residence where students will stay during their time in Barcelona. The next day students move to their permanent residence, where they will have a welcome meeting and check in. For more information, click here.
Residence: TSH Barcelona
CASA-Barcelona students stay in single rooms at the TSH Campus Barcelona, which houses a mixture of Spanish and international students. Newly renovated, the residence has furnished rooms, shared kitchens, private bathrooms, free internet, TV, and air conditioning/heating. TSH also has common areas where students can meet with friends and classmates. The residence is beside the "Marina" metro station and the tramway line, 10 minutes from UPF and downtown Barcelona.
Rooms: All rooms have a complete bathroom, TV, internet connection, air conditioning, heating and a window. They also have a 190x90cm bed, wardrobe, table and desk lamp, chairs, bookshelf and cork to hang photographs. The mattress and its cover, sheets, blanket, quilt, pillow, and towels are provided by the residence.
Kitchen: A kitchen is shared among ten students. It is equipped with a refrigerator, ceramic hob, oven and extractor fan. Each student will receive a pack of kitchen utensils upon arrival.
Common facilities: Common areas are available to all residents free of charge. It consists of three multipurpose rooms and three solarium areas with a rooftop pool.
Residence Services: The services that the residence offers for free include:
- Weekly cleaning of the room, kitchen and bathroom
- Weekly change of sheets and bath towels
- Air conditioning and heating
- 24 hour concierge
- Internet connection in the rooms
Other services offered to residents, for a fee, are:
- Pre-paid service for outgoing calls
- Laundry with automatic washers/dryers
- Coffee machines, soft drinks and snack machines
Laundry: Keep in mind that electricity and other basic supplies, such as water or gas, are much more expensive in Europe than in the United States.
Contract with the residence: All students must sign a contract before moving into the residence.
Academic Year Students (Full-year Students)
Full-year students will have the option to find their own accommodation for the spring semester. They must inform CASA-Barcelona staff before November 15 about their choice for the second semester.
