Faculty In Residence

CASA encourages faculty from its member institutions to apply for the Faculty-in-Residence position, wherein the instructor will teach a 4-6 week course in Barcelona on a creative and carefully prepared topic of relevance to Spain and/or Catalonia's historical, cultural, artistic, political, economic or social context.

Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are closed. Please check back in Fall 2027 for the 2027-2028 call.

Self-catered, single rooms at a student residential facility

Language requirements
Minimum of six semesters of college-level Spanish (or the equivalent). Students who have not reached the six-semester Spanish level, but have completed a combination of at least intermediate/advanced Spanish and some Catalan coursework are also encouraged to apply.
