CASA-Barcelona, Gran ViaThe CASA Barcelona offices are located in a Modernist building designed in 1902 by a contemporary of Gaudí’s. The space, managed by the Universitat de Barcelona (UB), is in the heart of downtown Barcelona and close to the UB’s Faculty of Philology and Communication and Faculty of Geography and History. The center is easily accessible by metro and is close to ‘Universitat’ and ‘Catalunya’ metro and train stops.

Resident Director:
Dr. Juanjo Romero Marín, charged with the overall responsibility of the program, has worked extensively as a professor and administrator of American programs in Barcelona since 2003. He holds a Ph.D. in Contemporary History from the University of Barcelona and is an adjunct professor at its School of Geography and History.

Assistant Director:
Libby Turner oversees the logistical aspects and academic coordination of the program. She has been with CASA since its inception and has more than 20 years experience working for American programs in Barcelona. Prior to her career in international education, she lived and worked in France, southern Spain and Portugal as part of her undergraduate and postgraduate studies.

Special Activities Coordinator:
Patricia Campo, Special Activities Coordinator, CASA-BarcelonaPatricia Campo leads the internship and volunteer program as well as cultural programming and community engagement. Patricia has worked in international education since 2005 and has been with CASA since 2011. Originally from Aragón, Patricia’s personal study abroad experience in the U.K. led her to pursue a career in the field.

General Coordinator:
Dario_sm.jpg_smDarío López is responsible for academic advising and administration and coordinates student events. After studying abroad in Argentina as part of his first undergraduate degree, Darío lived and worked in Madrid and London before joining CASA in 2024.
