Language of Instruction
CASA Barcelona is an immersion program and as such you are required to take all of your courses and complete all your coursework in Spanish and/or Catalan**. While the majority of courses are taught in Catalan, there is a wide range of classes offered in Spanish and an extensive list of available courses is shared with all participants prior to arrival.
You must provide evidence of having completed a minimum of six semesters of college-level Spanish (or the equivalent). You will also be considered if you have not reached the six-semester Spanish level, but have completed a combination of at least intermediate/advanced Spanish and some Catalan coursework.
** University of Pennsylvania students can not take any course taught in Catalan.
