Academics

For over 170 years, researchers at the University of Melbourne have been seeking the answers to life’s biggest questions, tackling the grand challenges and making an impact in communities in Melbourne, Australia and all over the world.

The University is home to the Melbourne Model – a flexible design that allows undergraduate students to combine over 100 areas of study, shaping a program specific for each individual student. CASA-Melbourne participants can choose from a wide range of disciplines that align with your home institution studies.
Melbourne’s undergraduate programs are designed to give students the skills required to both meet and shape the challenges of the future; to be flexible and agile in a changing work environment. Similar to US qualifications, the curriculum couples broad undergraduate studies with postgraduate specialisation.

Our teachers are internationally renowned researchers and industry leaders – including Nobel Laureates and distinguished fellows of international societies.

Following the CASA-Melbourne orientation program, participants will immerse themselves in a wide range of University of Melbourne courses beside local students.
